It's the last day of 2024, and the first entry of many on the new Taylon's World Blog! My name is Connor McDonagh and I'm the co-founder, Director of Technology and Finance, and Managing Partner of the Taylon's World company. A lot, I know. But the thing about small startups is that you will inevitably have to take on many roles in the beginning stages to keep things afloat, and it's not like you can pay people to help yet...especially when you're three broke early-20-somethings.
Now I know what you're thinking: why a blog? What's the point of one with a company as small as ours? There's a few simple reasons. One, it's like marketing. By making a blog, you're putting yourself out there. More people get to see, and that's a good thing. Dos, people actually get to learn about you and hear from others within the company. Believe me, we got big plans coming up. We want this to be a place where people can laugh, but also learn. We'll cover a wide variety of topics related to this industry, like opinion articles, stuff about equipment, future financial forecasts and much more. It's something I'm personally really excited about, and I'm sure my colleagues will share the same sentiment. We want to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurial filmmakers and artists, and this is the first step into being able to achieve that.
General Information About Me:
I am a 20 year old college junior at Duquesne University, majoring in Environmental Science. I plan to attend graduate school for either environmental engineering or business administration. In that time I will also pursue a real estate license and try to buy a small property for passive income.
